The documented development of Baden-Württemberg Warmblood is connected with Baden-Württemberg, Germany during the middle of the twentieth century. A planned breeding programme used regional mare families, Hanoverian, Trakehner and Thoroughbred lines and selected the descendants for athletic riding and sport.
